CL!CKBA!T
Clickbait was chosen as the focus of this project due to the overwhelming amount of information in today’s world, where people are frequently misled or tricked by eye-catching headlines. Clickbait has become an integral part of daily life, something seen and experienced almost every day. This project aims to bring attention to this issue and encourage reflection on how easily individuals can be influenced by digital content designed to capture attention.
Project Overview
Building on this idea, Clickbait explores how attention-driven digital content distorts human interaction and perception in algorithm-governed environments. This project expands from visual design into a complete narrative experience—featuring animation, posters, a website, interactive media, and physical merchandise. Together, these components examine how emotional manipulation and sensationalism are amplified by algorithmic systems, shaping not only the content we consume but how we engage with it. An infographic provides supporting data analysis, highlighting the feedback loop between creators and viewers in today’s click economy. Rather than simply criticizing the phenomenon, Clickbait invites reflection: in a world where “clicks” equal connection, how do we maintain authenticity and agency? How is computation actively redefining our experience of digital space?
